12 Days of Christmas - Day 12 American Girl Giveaway! (January 5, 2020)

Welcome to DAY 12 of our 12 Days of Christmas celebration!

For our 12th Day Of Christmas giveaway, we are GIVING AWAY the brand new American Girl 2021 Girl of the Year doll Kira Bailey™ to one lucky winner! The winner will receive the brand new 18-inch doll, in her original packaging, mailed to her directly from Pixie Faire! Read below to see all the details of what will be included (Note: if you already have Kira, and would like a gift card, we can accommodate that wish too!)

Who is Kira? Here's the description from the American Girl® website (images are also from the American Girl Website):

Kira is thrilled when she gets to spend a month at her aunt’s Bailey Wildlife Sanctuary in Australia helping care for koalas, wombats, and kangaroos. She’s always loved caring for animals, but it’s not all cuddles with cute joeys. When the baby wombats escape and there’s a predator on the loose, it’s up to Kira and her new friend Alexis to attempt a midnight rescue in the Australian bush!

  • The 18” Kira doll has green eyes and long, wavy blond hair that can be brushed and styled. It comes styled in a half-up twist with long loose curls.
  • A tie-dye tank top that ties in the front and has embroidered decoration on the shoulders
  • A green pleated skirt with buttons up the side
  • A pair of brown lace-up boots that are tough enough for bushwalking
  • A pair of purple socks
  • A purple wraparound bracelet
  • The Kira Down Under paperback book

We couldn't be more excited with the Australian theme for this new character! Many years ago we released the Liberty Jane Outback Libby colleciton of limited edition outfits and then later released as doll clothes sewing patterns. These designs feature the ruggedness of the Australian Outback mixed with the soft feminine Aussie fashion touch! Here's a peek at a few popular designs, we think they would be a perfect addition to Kira's darling collection!

Plus we have many other patterns that can be used to create the perfect pieces for her adventurous style! Here are a few popular ones:

But wait there's more!

Back in 2014 we launched our very own fiction books to bring our Outback Libby character to life! Follow the story of Libby and her friend Killara as they start a grand adventure in the heart of the Outback.

We have two kid-friendly stories available on Kindle - we'd love for you to check them out!

I think Pixiefaire has everything covered. I can’t think of anything that I wish to see created. Pixiefaire is so inspiring that I have used your patterns to morph into any design I wish. I studied clothes from the sixties, changed a few patterns and created my own sixties fashion lineup. I even used vegetable bags for fishnet stockings! So fun.
I’m now in the process of creating seventies fashions the same way. I found a large box in my mother’s attic of scraps of material that were left over from the clothes I made myself and my family in the seventies. I’m so excited ! The 2 I’ve made so far are perfect ! What memories! Thank you Pixiefaire! All I need now is a granddaughter

Growing up in the 50’s, we wore can-cans under full skirts. They were so fun to twirl in. They had more layers and were more stiff than the tutus made from tulle. Would love to see a pattern for a can-can type of under skirt for AG and Wellie Wishers.
Also more Wellie Wishers shoe and boot patterns. Thank you Pixie Faire for your great patterns and excellent customer care. 😁

On several occasions I have found 18" AG patterns on Pixie Faire that I love and would like to make, but for my granddaughter’s Welliewishers.doll rather than for an 18" doll. Then I discover that it’s not available in the 14.5" size. An excellent example is the Australian Coat make like the Australian horseman’s oilskin coat. There are many other examples across the board; historical clothing for many eras, casual wear, shoes, knitted sweaters, you name it. The one thing that I don’t particularly want to see is adult style formal wear in the Welliewisher size; these dolls are little girls, and so should their clothing be.
