12 Days of Christmas - Day 12 American Girl Giveaway! (January 5, 2020)

Welcome to DAY 12 of our 12 Days of Christmas celebration!

For our 12th Day Of Christmas giveaway, we are GIVING AWAY the brand new American Girl 2021 Girl of the Year doll Kira Bailey™ to one lucky winner! The winner will receive the brand new 18-inch doll, in her original packaging, mailed to her directly from Pixie Faire! Read below to see all the details of what will be included (Note: if you already have Kira, and would like a gift card, we can accommodate that wish too!)

Who is Kira? Here's the description from the American Girl® website (images are also from the American Girl Website):

Kira is thrilled when she gets to spend a month at her aunt’s Bailey Wildlife Sanctuary in Australia helping care for koalas, wombats, and kangaroos. She’s always loved caring for animals, but it’s not all cuddles with cute joeys. When the baby wombats escape and there’s a predator on the loose, it’s up to Kira and her new friend Alexis to attempt a midnight rescue in the Australian bush!

  • The 18” Kira doll has green eyes and long, wavy blond hair that can be brushed and styled. It comes styled in a half-up twist with long loose curls.
  • A tie-dye tank top that ties in the front and has embroidered decoration on the shoulders
  • A green pleated skirt with buttons up the side
  • A pair of brown lace-up boots that are tough enough for bushwalking
  • A pair of purple socks
  • A purple wraparound bracelet
  • The Kira Down Under paperback book

We couldn't be more excited with the Australian theme for this new character! Many years ago we released the Liberty Jane Outback Libby colleciton of limited edition outfits and then later released as doll clothes sewing patterns. These designs feature the ruggedness of the Australian Outback mixed with the soft feminine Aussie fashion touch! Here's a peek at a few popular designs, we think they would be a perfect addition to Kira's darling collection!

Plus we have many other patterns that can be used to create the perfect pieces for her adventurous style! Here are a few popular ones:

But wait there's more!

Back in 2014 we launched our very own fiction books to bring our Outback Libby character to life! Follow the story of Libby and her friend Killara as they start a grand adventure in the heart of the Outback.

We have two kid-friendly stories available on Kindle - we'd love for you to check them out!

How To Enter The Gift Card Giveaway:

I’d love to see any kind of historical clothing patterns at Pixie Faire for 18" and 14" dolls. My kids play with the modern mix and match sets but the dress-up clothes are very special.

I’d love to see looser-fitting patterns (more typical of the early ’50s, ’80s, and ’00s) offered at Pixie Faire for 18 inch dolls. So many “fifties” and “eighties” patterns out there are unrealistically skintight for the era!

I’d love to have clothes for the current styles girls love to wear. I make doll clothes and donate them anonymously to shelters and places for Holiday gifts for children. I made things for my two granddaughters who unfortunately grew out of playing with dolls. ;-( I got to love making things so I make them for others. I hope they enjoy the clothes as much as I enjoy making them.
