The most meaningful gift I ever made was 35 zippered travel bags for the NIH Childrens Inn. My office crew filled them with toys and games for the resident children. But it’s hard to pick one gift really – having cross stitched a sampler for the aunt who taught me to sew, or designed a small purse for my mom to her requirements that she’s used to falling apart, or an upcycled denim wallet for my husband that’s endured longer than any leather one and survived camp outs and pools, or the dresses and costumes I’d made for my girls growing up. Very hard to choose one when they’re all made with love!
The most meaningful gift I made for someone is hard to say. I think it would be the little minky frog I made for my youngest grandson. Or maybe the big reading pillows for the older boys lasts year. I made matching aprons (mother/daughter) for my girls and their daughters for Christmas this year but it got postponed due to Covid (me). Hoping to celebrate this weekend. Looking forward to their reactions!
The most meaningful gift I made was some hats I crocheted for my sister when she lost her hair from chemo and radiation. Unfortunately, she lost the battle also.
The most meaningful gift I made for someone is finish quilts of people who have passed and giving to families.
The most meaningful gift I ever made for someone was a box of doll clothes for my grand daughter. We gave her a doll, her first, and I made several outfits. I will never forget the look of joy that Christmas when she opened up the present.
