The most meaningful gift I made was raisin-filled sugar cookies for my dad’s birthday for the last several years of his life. My mom had dementia and was no longer able to make them for him. I know it’s not Sewing related but it was a labor of love.
The most meaningful thing I made for someone is the wedding veils for my 3 daughters weddings . They will always remember the memories of wearing something I made for them.
One of the most meaningful gifts I have made was when my youngest daughter left home. She was homesick and very far away,. I remade her favorite doll (new body) and new dress. When she received it she felt like she had a little piece of home to sit on her bed.
The most meaningful gift I made was actually made by my 10 year old granddaughter. I gave her a pattern and material to make an apron and a note that she was enrolled in Learn to Sew with Nana classes! She spent two days of her Christmas vacation with me learning the basics of sewing and she ended up with a cute little apron that she was so proud of!! Hopefully it will be a wonderful memory for her-I know if was for me!!
The most meaningful gift I made was a wedding dress for my very pregnant friend.
