For most sewing projects, standard sewing supplies are used and easy to find. For a variety of doll clothes patterns the supply lists recommend doll scale supplies and notions. Over the years we've come across a few of our favorite places to find these items:

It’s always fun to find a place that carries “tiny findings!” This stash looks like SO much fun!! I have a good time at resale shops where I often find suitable remnants for my doll clothes.
I have the hardest time finding doll ball arm joints.
I shop locally at craft and fabric stores like Michaels or Joann’s. I like to repurpose fabric from things my daughter has outgrown. For example, a pair of sandles that she out grew were not in good enough shape to donate, so I took off the rubber sole to use on doll shoes. Or we had an old metal chain belt that we took some of the rings off of and used them as D rings with some trim to make a few doll belts. It’s fun to see what you can retreat from the things you have laying around.
I have the hardest time finding fabric to scale, notions to scale.If the fabric it isn’t a solid it is difficult for me to find where it doesn’t cost $15+ a yard. Notions (zippers, lace, etc) are usually too big.
I use pixiefaire for all doll info. Now that you’ve put the question to your members, we have all kinds of new sources! Thank you again!
