For most sewing projects, standard sewing supplies are used and easy to find. For a variety of doll clothes patterns the supply lists recommend doll scale supplies and notions. Over the years we've come across a few of our favorite places to find these items:

I find great fabrics at Osgood’s in West Springfield, MA. It’s a warehouse with fabrics up to the ceiling. It reminds me of Mood in NYC.
“I shop for material at fabric store remnant bins. " There are often some very interesting materials in these bins, faux leather, tulle, sequined material. It’s fun to look and see what patterns we could apply these to. This bundle would be a good way for me to get over my fear of zippers and a way for us to try shoes. We have some cute patterns, just haven’t attempted them yet.
I shop for doll supplies at thrift stores, hobby lobby, michaels, and Joann’s
My favorite place to shop for doll supplies is Hobby Lobby. I have hardest time finding small zippers.
I have the hardest time finding reasonable prices thin Velcro. I now buy it from Farmcookies Etsy shop.
