12 Days of Christmas - Day 12 January 5th 2018

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Day 12 of our 12 Days Of Christmas celebration!

Today we are giving away a huge Doll Notions Grab Bag prize to 12 lucky winners! That's right! 12 Winners! I'm pretty sure we're all on the hunt for doll size notions and this amazing giveaway is full of a variety of supplies to keep you stocked up for quite a while! The giveaway includes 5 and 6 inch separating zippers, cording, tiny cameo buttons, pre cut shoe soles, vinyl pieces, cluny trim, buckles, parachute buckles, hook and loop tape, boning, ribbing, and more...

Congratulations to Cheiry, Ruth, Pennie, Margot, Kathi M, Christina, Lily, Joann, Stephanie, Jane, Lindak, and Krissie! You've each won a notions grab bag and have been contacted by email.

For most sewing projects, standard sewing supplies are used and easy to find. For a variety of doll clothes patterns the supply lists recommend doll scale supplies and notions. Over the years we've come across a few of our favorite places to find these items:

  • Home Sew - Check out thier Cinnamon's Favorite Things collection! Find 5" and 6" separating zippers in both nylon coil and metal teeth styles, narrow hook and loop tape, tiny buttons, and buckles.
  • Zipper That Doll - Find tiny separating zippers and closed end zippers
  • Zip It - Find a variety of colors of invisible zippers
  • Girl Charlee - great selection of ribbing and knits

Now it's your turn! Where do you find doll scale notions and supplies? Share your secret finds and sources below. I'm sure together we can create the ultimate doll scale sewing supply resource list! A surprise gift for everyone invloved :)

I find doll sized findings wherever I can. Joann, Hobby Lobby, Etsy, Ebay, local thrift stores and of course, Pixie Faire and Zipper that Doll.
I consider it a “treasure hunt” and I am delighted when I find the perfect “find” for my projects.

I always check out the sewing corner of our MCC thrift shop where I can often find tiny trim still in it’s original packaging…..narrow ric-rac is my favorite!

I have the hardest time finding small scale prints on fabric as well as smaller doll scale notion items like trims and hoodie cords. Thanks for the giveaway.

Jennifer G

I have the hardest time finding fabric with patterns to scale that’s cute.
