Hi everyone, Today is DAY 12! The final day of our super amazing 12 Days of Christmas giveaways and we're ending it with a big surprise!
Giveaway update: Congratulations to Maureen A. she has been selected as the winner of this new doll and she has been contacted by email!
For our 12th Day Of Christmas giveaway, we are giving away the brand new American Girl® 2020 Girl of the Year doll, Joss Kendrick™! The winner will receive the brand new 18-inch doll, in her original packaging, mailed to her directly from Pixie Faire!
Here's the description from the American Girl® website (images are also from the American Girl Website):
Joss is a fierce surfer girl who never backs down from a challenge—even if it means taking a chance on something new, like trying out for cheer. But landing a spot on the cheer team is harder than it looks: Joss is hard of hearing, and often misses the count. She’s determined to prove herself as a cheerleader and a surfer girl and realizes that an all-in attitude and an open mind might help her fly higher than ever before.

I’d love to see a line of basic wardrobe patterns based on the American Girl 18 inch doll Girl of the Year, such that they’d be evolving every year based on that girl’s theme and/or activities—sort of a design-your-own GOTY wardrobe. I did it once for Gabriella, but the experience must have fried the creativity part of my brain, and I haven’t come up with a good idea since. I guess kind of like a “whole world” experience without the “whole world” price tag.

I would like to see some jewelry offered in the way of necklaces, bracelet, earrings for any sz doll, more bling on accessories, just a little bit more in fashion with the times, I would love to be a part of your designer group with some of the jewelry I’ve made for my gd and my dolls, people often ask where I bought the doll jewelry, and I tell them I made it, they’re stunned, saying like u should do this to make $, it’s a lot of fun to make things for the dolls, especially for people who can’t craft at all, they appreciate it more when it’s handmade. Thanks for the contests this season, hoping to get a lot more accomplished this year then before. My gd has autism & surfs as well, so the doll Joss, fits right in with the time of our household with her disability, being deaf. And it shows the world that just because u have a disability, doesn’t mean u can’t accomplish your dreams if u really want it, my gd is very active in so much, from surfing to sit down crafts, she’s able to do it all, only because we tell her to try. If u don’t try, u’ll never know if u can do it or not.
I would LOVE to see more patterns for the Gotz Happy Kidz dolls. I have already purchased several of the patterns available from Doll Joy and while I love them, they are very specific to the doll, I want the same variety that I have for my 18” and 14.5” dolls (especially LJ patterns!) without having to alter the pattern, a skill I’m still not very good at.
I would go see more Native American patterns for 14" dolls.
I’d love to see super hero outfits for 18" dolls. Love the generic costume ones offered, but I mean actual specific super heros….Flash, Green Lantern, Arrow, Winter Soldier, Black Widow, etc. Also more career outfits would be fun!
I’d love to see a Jane Austen style dress pattern offered at Pixie Faire for both 18” and 14” dolls.
I would like to see more play outfits for Wellie Wishers. My daughter loves to include her Wellie in all the play with her big sister dolls, but she wants more young child outfits.
I’d like to see more 1920’s style clothing for 18" AG. Something other than fringed flapper dresses.
I love to see all the patterns for all the doll sizes. You really have a good selection though I love the early to mid 1900s more than others!
Boys’ historical clothing for 16-inch A Girl for all Time dolls. They now have a boy doll, Max and I’d love to sew for him.
I would love to see more ethnic patterns for the 18” dolls. Native outfits for Italian, French, Chinese, Irish, Polish, African, and more. While we all may be “American Girls” most of our families started out from somewhere else. With all the stories in the news about immigration and refugees, it would be a good teaching tool.
I’D LOVE TO SEE STAR WARS INSPIRED PATTERN OFFERED AT PIXIE FAIRE FOR 18 INCH DOLL TYPE. Thank you for this contest the doll of the year sounds amazing. My daughter had 3 deaf kids in her class when she was in Kindergarten and she enjoyed learning some sign language, so she could communicate with them.
