My favorite sewing tool is the seam ripper! What would I do without it! I use it more than any other sewing tool!
After sewing human clothes for 50 years I discovered 3 great tools once I started sewing doll clothes at 70 years old….a tailor’s clapper, a jean jig for thick seams, and coffee filter papers for everything! I don’t know why I waited so long to learn about these things…picked up hints from Pixie Faire comments. Thanks to you all.

“My favorite sewing tool is the quarter inch foot. I sew clothing for dolls, and this special foot assures me that I have consistent seams allowance for a great fit in every garment! I also use this 1/4" foot for sewing doll quilts, it’s my best tool for achieving a square block.
