my favorite fabric to sew with is the Cotten fat quarters used in quilting.
I use them often to make doll clothes. I love all the bright colors they come in.
They are so easy to sew with. No snagging. No stretching. Easy to put buttonholes in.

I normaly use cotton but really enjoy using a viairty of different materials for my many sewing projects.
I prefer cotton or cotton blends.
I actually love sewing with a nice crepe back or slipper satin. Sews like a dream, not like that nasty costume satin. After that I would say quilting and other lighter weight cottons, since scorecard drape are really important to me.

My favorite fabric to sew on cotton. It is, I think, one of the easiest fabrics to use and to work with.
My favorite fabric to sew with is knits. I was always scared to sew with knits because of the stretch so I never used knits. Then my granddaughters got old enough to start playing with their American Girl dolls and asked me to sew clothes for them. I just got brave and started using knits and love the way the doll clothes look!
