Welcome to Day 2 of our 12 Days Of Christmas celebration! Today we are giving away 2 tickets to the February 2018 Design Academy Class (valued at $79)! Yes, that's right - 2 Winners! We've just opened enrollment for the upcoming February 2018 session of this super fun, in-depth, online design course and wanted to kick it off with this fun giveaway opportunity!
Giveaway Update: Congratulations to Sally and Mary Kay! You've each won a ticket to the February Design Academy and have been contacted through email.
What's the Design Academy - you might ask... The Design Academy is our 12 part training program that gives you in-depth training on how to design high-quality clothing items specifically at the smaller doll scale. Cinnamon, the lead designer for Liberty Jane Clothing, has spent years perfecting the art of doll clothes design, focusing on an intense level of detail, and considers every piece created - a piece of art! The 140-page course ebook covers the 12 principles of design, most are a part of every design concept (proportion, scale, fabric, color, sewing technique, originality); while a few are meant as an extra element to specific designs (distressing/embellishments, minimalism, homage, repetition). Each chapter in the book is accompanied by a video where Cinnamon, Karin, and Melinda share their thoughts on the topic and encourage you to practice the element discussed through a hands-on homework assignment.
If you love to sew and really want to take your craft to the next level, this course is for you! Study the elements and learn to apply them to your work so that you can stand out in the crowd! We hope to see you there...
(Note - if you purchase the course and happen to be selected as one of the two winners, we'll be happy to credit your purchase or apply it to the March 2018 Pattern Academy!)
To enter the giveaway simply respond to this post and complete this sentence:

Cinnamon & The Liberty Jane / Pixie Faire Team
I’d love to see Pixie Faire offer patterns for the 6.5" AG doll. Thank you!
My life is upside down right now, and I sew for kids as a diversion. I would say ditto to many of the comments above. I recently bought an AG 18 inch doll for my 8 yr old granddaughter and I am trying to outfit her using fabrics accumulated over the years from quilting. I think I am doing this for her as much as myself .

I’d love to see Pixie Faire offer Halloween costumes for 18" dolls.
I’ve previously requested patterns to fit BJDs like Kaye Wiggs dolls. I LOVE the size and feel of these dolls. I like a more ‘grown-up’ type doll (as opposed to a baby-type doll). I KNOW, each their own, right? HA! I don’t own many of any of these dolls as our house burned and I lost my collection, but I have been acquiring some unique dolls back, to replace what I lost. THANK YOU, Pixie Faire, Cinnamon and ALL the contributors of what goes in to Pixie Faire/Liberty Jane, to make it a wonderful place for doll enthusiasts to UNITE! I KNOW it’s a joint effort and lots of time and work (and LOVE) go into each and every aspect to make this a company for it’s members, and to be proud of. Sincerely!
Tough call. I mainly have AG dolls to sew for (actually my daughter’s), a Barbie and my mother’s composite china head doll. I guess I’d like to see more vintage patterns including those for larger dolls like my mom’s (around 29 inches tall)

It may sound strange.. but I’d like to see more “newborn baby” style patterns for the AGD. My grandchildren receive their first doll at about age 2 or 3 and therefore think of them as their “babies”. The AGD are quite sturdy and they are still playing with the same dolls at age 10-12. The first couple of years they really want footed sleepers, buntings and more baby type cute baby wear clothing with a slightly looser fit helping them dress them their selves.
I would more 18” boy clothes. Also maybe have a file section with suppliers for snaps, slides, zippers etc.
I would love to see Pixie Faire offer fashionable winter wear items for 18 inch dolls; a parka (that will fit over a T-shirt or sweater and still close properly), and accessories like snow pants, hats, mittens, etc; all things outer wear.
