When asked for a dolly and me outfit, I ask my customer to buy two of the same outfits for her granddaughter – 1 for the granddaughter and 1 for me to cut up and make a similar outfit for the granddaughter’s doll.
Hold the thread ends tight when you are starting doll seams. It doesnt get caught under the presser foot and the seam starts smoothly!
My favorite sewing tip or trick is to use small applique pins when making doll clothes.

My favorite sewing trick is to have several bobbins wound in the thread needed for that item. Then I cut out more than one outfit of different material and have the bobbins would for each color or try to match the colors as close as possible so I make several items of one color with no time lost. Example: Flowered with blue material for one dress, the next dress is of blue material, and the third dress is of yellow and blue. Makes it alot easier than stopping and starting to thread the bobbin,
