My favorite sewing tip is to have an emergency stash of chocolate for those moments when you need a break while sewing.
My tip is never throw away your scrap fabrics or trims. You never know when you will need something small to finish that perfect garment!
My favorite sewing tip for doll clothing is to pink the curves, this is much easier than snipping to the seam and makes it less likely that I will cut too close to the seam. The pinked edges allow give in all the right places and a smoother finish.
My favorite sewing tip is to keep a small basket of hand sewing next to my tv chair, so I can finish my projects while relaxing and watching favorite programs.
My favorite sewing tip or trick is… my go to sewing machine has a thread spindle cap. I find this really helps my spool of thread to feed evenly as the spool stays in place and doesn’t creep upwards especially when sewing fast. When using another older machine that doesn’t have this feature, I place a large cork – that I’ve drilled a hole through to fit my thread spindle- on top of my spool- which provides that same function.
