My favorite tip is to sew from the heart. My heart is for my granddaughter. We sew and craft together and I hope to instill in her the art of sewing. The best trick is to just study the instructions and resource the internet if you’re not sure.
My favorite sewing tip or trick is…when having to turn right sides out through a narrow shoulder for the doll clothes I was taught to place a safety pin at the corner end of the garment that you need to pass through the shoulder. Once the pin is through the narrow shoulder you grasp the pin and pull the rest of the garment through. Easy Peasy!
My sewing tip is to hand bast areas that are tricky or small. Pins get in the way or you are focused on taking them out as you come to them. Basting gives you a line to follow and you aren’t concentrating on something else.
My tip is to find a group of friends who love to sew doll clothes too. Fun to share ideas, projects, and show-n-tells.
My favorite tip is that noone is as picky about your project as you are. Most people wont even see the flaws that you do. You are the harshest critic there is. Enjoy your work.
