The first thing I learned in my 1st quilting class—the way it turns out is the way I meant it to be.
My favorite sewing tip is to remain very patient when sewing those tiny seams. A close buy glass of wine also helps when those tiny seams need to be taken out and resewn.
My favorite tip is to read through the entire pattern first to make sure I understand everything before I start cutting.
My favorite tip. Make sure I have everything I need before starting. saves a lot of frustration later.

My favorite tip or trick is using a doll a dress form to get the perfect fit.
My favorite sewing tip or trick is to use clips to hold delicate fabric.
My favorite sewing tip or trick is…when hand basting, use bright colored thread. The bright colors help you identufy which threads need to be removed after final seams are completed.
My favourite sewing tip is to always have many different machine needle sizes available so that you can adjust your needle for the project you are sewing
My favorite sewing tip actually involves making shoes. I always cut out little triangles from the seam allowance before turning the shoe over the sole to glue it. This is especially important when working with vinyl, multiple layers of fabric or heavy fabric. I always get a nice smooth sole line. It also helps to use the purchased soles as they are nice and smooth.
My favorite sewing tip or trick is To wear an apron with big pockets to carry scissors; measuring tape and other sewing supplies to have with you as you move around while sewing.
My favorite sewing trick is to store bobbins with pony tail holders around them in small medicine bottles.
My favorite sewing tip is to start early enough to not have to hurry at the end and try to take shortcuts that end up taking more time because of all the unpicking I do.

My favorite tip is to use a 1/4" sewing foot when sewing doll clothes to make sure your seams are all the correct size and the clothes fit properly.
My favorite sewing tip is to RECYCLE! I use the frosted plastic inserts from the bacon packages (washed, of course) for pattern templates. It’s the same product they sell as such, but it’s FREE! and reusable.

Measure twice , cut once and pin, pin, pin!
My favorite trick is to use coffee filters to start seams or to sew knits – for me the coffee filters seem to rip away much easier and leave few if any bits of paper to pick out of the seams.
My sewing tip or trick is to shop the remnant area. You never know what you are going to find. (And you can find some wonderful fabrics you wouldn’t normally find or use if you are shopping sale or by price)
I need to remind myself that I am working on a smaller scale, but that doesn’t mean it will go quicker.
My favorite sewing tip or trick is to serge the cut edge of my fabric before pre-washing it. It prevents that tangled, knotted mess when you take the fabric out of the washer and dryer.
My favorite sewing tip is when working with an unfamiliar pattern you have never used before make it out of junk material or cheap muslin as a prototype. I have ruined many purchased fabrics very sure the pattern would fit, only to have it turn out to snug or big. You can salvage it if it is to big, but not if it was cut to small.
My favorite sewing tip is to hold onto the ends of thread as I start the beginning of a seam, especially with knits. It keeps the fabric from being sucked down into the throat plate
My tip is not to forget about hand basting as a tool for small tricky seams. Only takes a minute and it holds much more accurately than a pin or clip. Very good option for a beginner sewist. Remember, sewing is not a race. It takes time to turn out a nice finished product you can be proud of.

My favorite sewing tip is to use fishing long when you need to gather a skirt to fit the bodice or waistband. Set sewing machine for wide zig zag stitch, leave extra 4 inches past area to be gathered, and zig zag over the fishing line. Pull firing line to gather fabric. Less likely to break as you pull than regular basted stiches.

My favorite tip is to trace the pdf pattern in the size you need on to Pelion tracing fabric. It’s easier to cut the fabric accurately in stead of using regular printer paper.
Is to cut multiple versions of the same pattern in different fabrics before I start sewing.
