My favorite sewing tip or trick is to hold the pattern up to the doll or person to check the fit

Copy page one of a PDF pattern. Tape a piece of the fabric you used to the back, along with tips for next time. Add scraps of fabric and trim from your stash for future inspiration. Granddaughters love adding comments and styling ideas! Put in a page protector and store in a large 3-ring binder.

My favorite tip is if at first you don’t succeed, try again.

I have been sewing for 50 years. My mother taught me when I was young. My favorite trick, especially lately, is to use the interfacing meant for knits. It is a lifesaver when working with fabric like t-shirt knit. It makes it soooo much easier :)

My favourite tip about sewing is about the tension screw on the bobbin holder. I’d had years of fighting with my sewing machine, and that tip made it so I could actually enjoy sewing.
