My favorite sewing trick is to wash all material before hand that needs washed and to read all directions carefully… don’t get distracted. I love sewing
Never give up. And if you have to rip a seam more than two times cut again and start over. You distort your fabric so much most of the time it’s not worth it after the second time of ripping a seam.
Love using fabric clips instead of pins on long pieces of fabric. Also instead of tossing old clothes (with stains, tears, etc) I use them to cut out doll clothes. Using I can get a couple of outfits out of a single item.

my favorite sewing tip would be using a glue stick to hold a zipper in place! Makes sewing them easy peasy.
