My favorite sewing tip is to make two loose gathering seams, when you need to gather something, and then sew with a tighter stitch in between those two seams, to give nice even gathers. You can easily pull out the gathering stitch that is visible on the right side of the garment.

Is to tape slippery fabric before sewing so it doesn’t slip on me.
My favorite sewing tip is to spray my fabric with Magic Sizing and then giving it a good press before I sew on it.
