I first heard about Pixie Faire from an internet search. Five of my granddaughters had AG type dolls and wanted a larger wardrobe for them without using all their birthday & Christmas money. As a girl, whose grandma used to make all her granddaughters “Barbie” clothes for Christmas, I wanted to do a similar thing for my granddaughters.

A friend of mine had a little girl who had received an AG doll for her birthday and I wanted to make some clothes for her. I went to my local fabric store and the patterns were $12-15 for one pattern!! So I started an online search and found Pixie Faire. I was impressed that they offered some free patterns. I downloaded the Drawstring Dress. Excellent pattern with detailed instructions! I have since purchased a few patterns from Pixie Faire and have never been disappointed with the quality and detail of their patterns.

I first heard about Pixie Faire when searching for some prairie style clothes to make for my daughter’s dolls. My daughter is a huge fan of Little House on the Prairie and just old fashioned clothing/living in general. I purchased some beginner patterns for her as well so that she can also sew for her own dolls.

I first heard about Pixie Faire while scrolling through pictures and comments online in a sewing group I had just joined. That was 2 years ago. The woman had put up a picture of an outfit she had just finished and named the designer and Pixie Faire. I loved all the details on the dress and coat and immediately bought the patterns. Been tuning in every week since and passed along the info to others who sew doll clothes. The coat was a coat like I had had while a little girl in the ‘50’s.

Back in 2014 my life changed, went back to collecting 18 inch dolls again and wanted update information about making doll clothes and/or where could I get online classes for sewing doll clothes. Google sent me to a site Pixie Faire among other sites. I likes or rather loved the site and has been going on the site since that time. I am still out showing what I do because of the good quality that comes out of Pixie Faire, however, I will continue and love to go on the site. Thank you Pixie Faire.

I always wanted a special doll that I could sew clothes for. I sewed rag dolls and doll clothes throughout my youth. As an adult I had no one else to sew for so why not. Being Canadian, I purchased a Maplelea doll. The clothes are expensive and I knew I could make my own so I bought some patterns at the fabric store. That was fun but I wanted more variety so I googled clothes for 18" dolls and a picture of the Liberty Jane Oscar dress popped up. I was hooked! Clothes for dolls that were modern, detailed and really spectacular!
