What is Mood Fabrics? Without question, Mood Fabrics is the number-one shopping destination for fashion fabric in the world: The NYC flagship store alone plays host to more than 1,200 customers every day. Named one of “Fashion’s 50 Most Powerful” by The New York Daily News, Mood Fabrics has played a vital role in the fashion world for more than two decades and has built an impeccable reputation based on honesty, creativity, and hard work. The company prides itself on being a family business that is the manifestation of founder Jack Sauma’s dream, and a true American success story.

Recently, I made this Piccadilly Peacoat using a beautiful boiled wool from Mood! I also love their knit fabrics, they're great quality and work so well to create beautiful fashion in miniature!

My favourite fabric to sew with is good quality quilting cottons. The colours and patterns are so vibrant and they are so easy to work with.

My favorite fabric to sew with is linen!

My favorite fabric to sew with is denim, and good quality cottons! I use denim a great deal, and it always looks Good. But you can’t beat a great cotton fabric for almost everything!

My favorite fabric to sew is now quilting cotton. It’s easy to find , to sew and not expensive ( I started sewing with this fabric !) But in reality I would like to sew every other fabric because the result can be so different . I will be soon confident enough to try something else…

My favorite fabric to sew with depends on what I’m making. I usually sew for my historical dolls and they get natural fabrics with a lot of silk and satin. They never complain about their clothes, get them dirty, or say the outfit makes them look fat. For myself, unless I’m going to a dress-up event, I make something easy to wash and wear. I do get quality fabrics; it doesn’t make sense to use junk.
