Like 75% of the entrants, blocking out the time, and making the choice of which project to sew is my biggest challenge. When I was young I sewed constantly. Not quite sure what the blocks are for me lately, but I rarely sew and I have all the supplies to finish most any project.
“My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is making sure I keep my seams the right size on doll clothes. In crocheting my challenge is making sure the guage is right on a new pattern.
In quilting the sandwiching of the 3 layers of top, batting & backing are difficult with large quilts.
For me, other than the obvious space, time and organizational challenges, some sewing machines offer wonderful new features but not necessarily the features I came to depend on in older models for simple speed and accuracy, resulting in challenges.
My biggest sewing challenge is space. I enjoy doing many different kinds of crafts, but only have space for 1 thing at a time. If I am doing one craft project and need to let it dry, then I don’t have space to work on anything else.
