My biggest knitting struggle is that I learned from a left handed knitter, so I do things a bit backward. My biggest crochet struggle is actually chaining without making a series of knots! And my biggest sewing struggle is probably inserting a zipper or cutting out the pattern.

I hope some day I’m able to sew as well as my Mom does (she made most of our clothes growing up, for my sister and I and our dolls 🙂) and to be able to crochet like she does as well (she’s made several prayer shawls for people and I’d love to make her one because my Mom does so much for so many yet rarely gets anything back from anyone).

“My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is this: When I am using my sewing machine, sometimes the bobbin tension is too loose or too tight. It is never easy for me to get the right bobbin tension and I waste too much time trying my best to adjust it.

My biggest challenge is keeping my sewing room clean. It seems when I sew I accumulate a variety of notions on my sewing room table. Then I accidentally start knocking stuff off into the floor.

Hazel

My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is tension (in body and yarn). I tend to be a little type A so I try too hard and the harder I try the worse it gets. I have to remind myself to breathe, relax and unravel the knotted mess I just made. To think I do this for relaxation!

Julia

My biggest knitting and crocheting challenge is coming up with an appropriate thread/yarn/needle/hook combination to achieve the correct gauge.
