I have the hardest time shopping for more specialized fabric (denim, leather, faux fur, etc.) that I know will work. I buy everything online, so sometimes I really have no idea about the weight and handling of the fabric.
I have the hardest time finding small scale hooks and eyes, snaps, and buckles like the ones on vintage doll clothes.
I have the hardest time trying to find the time to work on projects!!
I shop thrift stores for children’s clothes that are not to worn. I then recut them to doll size. They often come with doll size buttons, buckles or embellishments. I carefully pick out seams, stabilize as needed to recut . If dirty spots I gently hand wash before taking apart. Fabric scale is often great!
I buy my very thin and flexible Velcro at Etsy at a shop that has many different colors also.
