I have a number of hobbies and thing I enjoy doing that I can now pursue more since I just retired.. Sewing, machine embroidery and digitizing are a few of my hobbies.
I crochet primarily as a hobby for my home and grandkids. On average, I spend 10 hours in a week. Crochet while commuting and while watching TV on the weekends. On weekends I also try to do as much sewing as possible
I sew primarily as a hobby. On average, I spend 2 hours a week on sewing. I sew because my daughter’s favorite dolls only come with 1 outfit, so we need to mix it up!
I sew because it is my passion to create with fabric. I spend about 15-20 hours a week creating for my family and for the preemie unit at Motts Hospital.
I sew doll clothes (and am learning to crochet) as a hobby. I spend maybe 5 to 8 hours a week.
I sew and knit for family. I have 8 gc and 10 and counting ggc so I am busy sewing for children, dolls and adults. Some live in a cold climate so I make lots of hats and mittens. I sew several hours every day, and right now mostly for charities, such as Sew Powerful and also foster children’s items. It gives me much joy and relaxation. Before the pandemic, I was teaching sewing to children and adults, which I will do again someday.

I use mostly Pixie Faire patterns for the 18” dolls and I make my own patterns for the fabric dolls. I sew and/or create every day. I have a passion for creativity.
I sew as a hobby but not on a regular basis. For Christmas I decided to make my nieces clothes for their American girl dolls. I love the patterns that Pixie Faire have available and so did my nieces. I am looking forward to sewing more after Christmas.

I have an Etsy shop called “BJDWardrobe” where I sell handmade clothing for many kinds of dolls. I sew clothing for Ruby Red Fashion Friends dolls, My Meadow dolls, Gotz dolls and BJD dolls such as Soom Imda and MYou. I also customize my dolls to allow them to have new upgraded Eyes and Wigs plus I repaint their face and body. I was Reborn doll artist for many years and dolls have always been my passion.

I sew some of my skirts and then progressed to doll clothes I’m still a beginner but I’m getting
better. I crochet mainly amigurumi type plushies Pokémon mostly though I make other things as well I’m probably an intermediate with crochet but absolute beginner with knit I made maybe 1 scarf that’s it. I only do them as a hobby mostly as I don’t think I’m good enough yet to sell them.
I’ve been sewing for over 60 years. When I retired, I started sewing clothes for my granddaughter’s AG doll, since they tend to be a little pricey. That somehow led to me selling them at local fairs and markets. Too much work, so now I sell on Etsy. My shop, All Dolled Up in Florida, keeps me pretty busy, working about 30-35 hrs per week. I use Pixie Faire for most of my patterns, and have several hundred of them!

This year has been filled with so many family issues and health issues that I’ve cut way back on my sewing. My adult daughter who spent 4 weeks unresponsive in the ICU and a total of nearly 4 more weeks in a regular room is almost completely recovered. I have been sewing since I was a young girl, taught to me by my mother. I used to sew clothes for myself and kids but know I mainly quilt blankets for my grand children. I have recently found Pixie Faire and have thoroughly enjoyed sewing doll clothes as well as knitting a few outfits. I find it all to be very relaxing and enjoyable and very thankful to have these hobbies in this crazy year.
Sewing used to be my primary craft when my children were growing up. I mainly made our clothes and some doll clothes for presents. But now I am mostly knitting because of spinal issues. I am mostly knitting for gifts and my granddaughter’s dolls. I probably knit a few hours a week.
