Hi everyone,
On Friday (April 18, 2014) we'll have one of the following four patterns available for free. This week the theme is summertime sewing featuring the inspiring work of Liese Brouwer at Doll Tag Clothing.
More About Doll Tag Clothing: I am a mother of 3 living in South Africa. I come from a sewing family and started at a very young age. My mom and granny taught me everything I know. My favourite baby doll clothes I own were made by my granny... she added the most beautiful detail with lace and bullion roses. I fell in love with American Girl while travelling in the United States and couldn't wait to start sewing for her. I now have a little girl and the fun begins. I am also part of wonderful and creative family in the Hatched in Africa community. It is a place close to my heart. My mom, sister, 2 aunts and I are all part of this amazing world. I love to digitize for the embroidery machines!
Help us decide which one of Liese's fun patterns should be free by voting below. Then come back on Friday to see which pattern won and get the free download.
Here is more information about each pattern:

LOVE to get the tunic pattern FREE!!
I love the bag!
Is Friday, April 25, another Freebie Friday and I never seem to get the notice until that Freebie Friday. How do we vote in advance. BTW I love the wrap pants!
I kept getting an error message in trying to download. was unable to get.
I am very disappointed I could not download the free pattern on April 18. I kept trying until midnight, and all I got when clicked on the link was “page unavailable at this time”. I tried going on Pixie Faire as well and same thing. I have never had a problem before, and the last two voting times I never received an email telling me to vote…???
I just LOVE the Wrap pants and bikini top! So i am voting for them :)
I waited for the link for the free pattern and never got it. It was never posted Friday and I never received an email. Will this pattern be available for free again since it was never posted?
Didn’t see the final… Did I miss it?
I voted for the bag but did not see which pattern actually won, nor did I find the link. :(
Love the shorts….oh maybe the skirt….no the bag….ok ok the sporty shorts is my vote!!
I figured out a way to not miss anything “EVER AGAIN” I had previously checked ‘like’ on Facebook but have today also checked ‘notifications’ also, on Pixie Faire. That way if you do not send out an email, I will get one from FB!
I missed getting the email also, and I did check my inbox and the site and filled in the poll too! Then waited to get the email on what had won…was one sent out? I love all of these patterns and especially the shorts…so sad ;o(
@Bev, Anddree, Gloria, Anita, and Deborah,
Sorry to hear you missed it. We do our best to get the word out for these short-term offers. In this case the Sporty Shorts were listed for free for 24 hours – all Friday. We also announced it on Facebook as well as on the Pixie Faire homepage slider. It was also in the “Free” pattern category all day. We’ll have another fun pattern listed for free this Friday – simply visit the site and look at the homepage slider or the free category.
I have to add myself to the list of folks wondering if we missed the announcement of the winner. I’ve gotten all of the past ones but didn’t get any notification for this one. (which I was really excited about.)
I didn’t get the email either… strange, they always come right to my inbox! I hate to have missed this one! They’re all wonderful patterns!
Did I miss it, I have kept an eye on my emails :(
I did not see the items to vote on or the download. Was wondering if I could get the free item.
Did I miss it??? I never did see what out fit won or when to get it.
I voted and ended up missing it.
thanks Bev
Just love the bag. All of the patterns are do cute, but a shoppong tote will get me anytime.
I didn’t getan email to get the freebies and giveaways for Friday April 18 , 2014 WHAT HAPPEN ?
Wrap Pants
My vote goes for the skirt -very cute. Thanks!
Love the wrap pants and bikini top! But really love them all!
The bag is so cute and also nothing like it elsewhere!
I’ll vote for the book bag. It’s very cute.
I noted for the skirt because the shorts are already being offered free??
This is a hard one, but I chose the skirt (followed by the bag)! They are all so cute…. Wish I had your talent to design and make patterns… Thank you so much for all your free ones…
Love the wrap pants, well all the clothes really. Thanks for the freebie and the chance to vote on which one.
thank you for all the patterns
The shorts are so cute. I vote for them.
I love the shorts. I think they look more like modern clothing than some others.
I absolutely love the wrap pants set. You are so talented. Would love to make these.
As a runner, have to have those shorts!
Summer Skirt…But All Are Fun!
summer skirt !
The mesh bag pattern has all kinds of possibilities. That is the one for me.
My daughter loves the wrap pants!
Have to vote for the shorts. Love them all. Had a pair of those wrap pants but the halter top though nice displays too much doll fabric.
I love them all but I have to vote for the shorts because they look so much like the bigger shorts we wore as kids.
As one of the newer members, thank you for your generosity. Love your patterns and cannot wait to see what was chosen.
I already have the wrap pants (so retro I used to wear them in college)—the skirt would be super!
My granddaughter loves the summer skirt. But, they are all really cute.
I like the wrap pants
I couldn’t decide, so I voted for all four! LOL
A big thank you LJ and Doll Tag for Freebie Friday! My vote is for the summer skirt.
Thank you for these free Fridays! I have 2 out of 4 of these so the book bag gets my vote!
Shorts
Love all the patterns – have the book bag pattern and it sews up really cute, especially for a beach bag. I vote for the shorty shorts. It’s almost summer here in Delaware, and my “girls” need some play shorts. Thanks for doing this.

Wrap pants
I vote for the wrap pants and bikini top.
Wrap pants & bikini top get my vote!
Thank you. Love all your patterns! You are very talented. Can’t wait to see what you dream up next.
Wrap pants and bikini top. My 10 year old granddaughter helped me decide! I like them all!
Thanks so much for sharing; your patterns are wonderful!
I love the wrap pants and top, but also like the shorts. Tough choice. Thank you for doing this and the free patterns.
Summer skirt or sporty shorts look like fun to me.
Definately the Sporty Shorts.
Love them all. Thanks. If I had to vote for one I would say the wrap set.
summer skirt please! I don’t know if I can do the eyelets in the shorts yet.
I love the wrap around pants. we made them when I was a young girl. memories!!
Thanks very much for this freebie Friday, I look forward to these very much! It’s hard to choose, but I voted for the cute skirt.
My granddaughter, Sophie, and I vote for the summer skirt!
I vote for the shorts. :)
Such a neat and generous idea.Always love a new pattern.
Sporty Shorts have a pocket detail that will be fun to learn how to sew. And since I love learning new techniques, Sporty Shorts get my vote. I also love the darling mesh book bag. Way back when my daughter was a young girl I sewed wrap pants for her Barbie dolls. It was complicated for her to put on the doll, with the back tie, flip over and then tie in front. Younger girls might feel the same about their AG clothes.
Love these FREEBIES vote. What fun to expand the variety of LJ/designer patterns ! Thank you for your generosity. This is FUN !
Love the shorts. Lots of detail just like the real thing.
Have the all but the book mesh bag!
Freebie Friday is such a delight I look forward to after a long work week. I don’t have a granddaughter yet – just grandsons…but they smile and appreciate that Lola loves to sew for her doll because my daughters cheer me on….secretly I know they want me to continue so I will sew for the real little “doll” when she actually comes. I am like previous commenters and LOVE purchasing an extra pattern to add to the couture collection of American Girl clothes. Thank you ladies. You have a friend in me.
Love them all! My daughter picked the wrap pants and top and wants to make them as shorts too. Thanks Doll Tag Cllothing and Pixie Faire.
I love the summer skirt too. It’s so cute and my littlest granddaughter wears them. Cute~
I like the wrap pants. Always wanted to wear them when I was little.
Definitely the sporty shorts—they’d be a great combination with the free swimsuit pattern, and they’re just like what girls wear to exercise.
I would LOVE to make the wrap pants and bikini top for my granddaughter’s Julie doll..takes me back to my youth! My mother made me several pair back in the 70’s!
The wrap pants. Made them for myself in the late 60s.
Summer skirt is cute and it’s more versatile.
We just got a skirt pattern and school will be out soon, so don’t need a book tote.
Wrap pants and bikini top!
Love the summer skirt!! That is my vote!
Since I already have the Dolll Tag sporty shorts and wrap pants/top pattern’s, I vote for the summer skirt! Fun and flirty!
Wrap pants and bikini top!
