Freebie Friday, (July 17, 2015), Help Us Decide

Hi everyone,

On Friday (July 17th, 2015) we'll have one of the following patterns available for free from either Cinnamon Miles or Liese Brouwer. Be sure to vote and then return on Friday to get your free copy of the winning pattern!

More About Cinnamon and Liberty Jane Clothing: Cinnamon is the co-founder of Liberty Jane Clothing and Pixie Faire. She's also the co-founder of Sew Powerful, a charity focused on combating extreme poverty through sewing and tailoring programs. She strives to design on-trend clothing made to fit 18 inch dolls such as American Girl® and other doll types too. Help us decide which one of these fun patterns should be free by voting below. Then come back to Pixie Faire on Friday to see which pattern won and get the free download.

More About Liese & Doll Tag Clothing: We'll let Liese share her story with us in her own words...I am a mother of 3 living in South Africa, 2 boys and a girl. I come from a sewing family and started at a very young age. I fell in love with American Girl while travelling in the United States and couldn't wait to start sewing for her. When my daughter was born the fun began! I published my first pattern 3 years ago at PixieFaire and the journey has been a blessing in so many ways! I am also the proud owner of a small doll line called South African Girl Doll. I believe that every girl should have a doll of her own that she can love and dress as often as she pleases. This is a girl's dream world. Letting Girls be Girls.

The UK Holiday Top Designed To Fit 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl®: It seems like yesterday, 1972! America and England had so much in common. As part of her International Collection, designer Cinnamon Miles has translated the energy of the 1972 scene into a contemporary hit – U.K. Holiday. Now you can make this fun UK Holiday Top PDF Pattern. It’s easy.

I like the pants and bikini top. It would be fairly easy to make a swim bottoms to go under the wrap pants, making it a nice set.

The wrap pants absolutely. Often when I make doll clothes I make an outfit for my granddaughter to match (or vice versa) – My Lily would love this outfit. Thank you so much for your generosity and fabulous patterns and…well…everything!

Those wrap pants made me smile. They are nearly identical to to very first real sewing I ever did (back in the 70s). Even though I almost never payed with dolls, I had to sew doll clothes (100% by hand) until my mother was convinced I was serious about wanting to sew. I made several pairs of these for my sister’s dolls. I think I got the pattern from my grandmother.

But for me this was a choice between the summer skirt and the UK top (which would look nice together, lol). I went with the skirt.

wow a tough one! love the ruffles on the skirt, granddaughter loves the wrap pants, the shirts are really great, but they were part of my very first purchases – tamed that knit fear.
The pants win. Who will get to pick out the fabric will be – never mind she just dug the cutest mint chevron out of the basket. It is good to be Nana.

I love the UK top but am fearful of the possibility of having to put teeny tiny elastic in the neck and sleeves so I’ll vote for the summer skirt. It’s cute and I’m sure my granddaughters would love it. Thank you so much for Freebie Friday!! It makes my Friday extra-

I vote for the Wrap pants. I have the UK top pattern and make it a lot. I took the regular tank and tee patterns and created my own v-neck. I ‘d love the summer skirt as well. I am trying to make mix and match separates so I’ll take one pattern and cut it out in a dozen fabrics and make them back to back. I just love all the patterns so far.

I already have both top patterns. I’m afraid the wrap pants and top would not look good on my dolls with the white bodies so I’ll vote for the summer skirt.

Love the free patterns. They are they high-lite of my week. Although, I end up buying new patterns, too. I’m trying to get ahead for Christmas sewing. Thanks.
