Free Doll Clothes Pattern (August 24th, 2018) Help Us Decide

Hi everyone,

On Friday (August 24th, 2018) we are offering a free doll clothes pattern from Cherie Peden of Ma Petite Cherie Couture. Be sure to vote today and then come back and get your copy of the winning pattern on Friday.

More About Cherie (in her own words): I have been sewing since I was about 4 years old. I learned to sew at my mothers knee. I learned to sew Barbie clothes not by hand, but by machine. I remember when I was about 10 seeing an outfit that my Grandmother had made for her Barbie that she had done completely by hand and thinking why would anyone take that kind of time. I learned to crochet at age 7 again under my mother's watchful eye. I also learned to knit but as crochet builds faster knitting fell the way of hand sewing I do if needed. I am the wife to a software engineer and mother to 4 daughters that I home schooled for most of their elementary years. When I am not designing and writing doll clothes patterns I work as a teachers aide in a private school.

More About Each Pattern:

Cabbage Roses Crochet Pattern For 18" Dolls:  The Cabbage Rose pattern provides another twist on the oval vest pattern. It's main feature is the surprise of 3 roses down the back. Crocheted using bedspread weight (size 10) crochet cotton, it works up fairly fast.

The Anna Shoe Pattern for 18" Dolls: Does dolly like bows but not big full bows? Well here is an open toe shoe that has half a bow across the toe! The outside edge of the bow is lined with small beads and the arch side of the shoe is open. This shoe would be pretty in light weight silks and satins as well as in light weight wools.

Pretty Frillies Crochet Pattern for 15" Dolls:  Crochet an adorable Bib, Bonnet, and Bootie set for your 15" baby doll! The bib boasts a cute little ruffle with buttons down the center and the booties have the same ruffle around the foot. The bonnet has a folded back brim trimmed with a ruffle and contrasting color.

Button Up Beauties Pattern for 15" Dolls:  Button Up Beauties are a style that is enduring through all generations. It features heirloom details such as pleating and piping. The piping is made out of the same fabric as the shorts or skirt. The shorts or skirt button on to the shirt or blouse with real working buttonholes and are fully lined.  This PDF pattern is designed to fit 15" dolls such as Bitty Baby®.

My girls could use some more shoes, so I voted for that pattern. Thanks so much for your generous offer.

Thanks so much for offering such cute patterns. I can’t crochet but I would love a Bitty Pattern. I know this is an 18 inch site but just sometimes a Bitty pattern would be a fab gift to others. Fingers crossed , if you don’t have a clear choice maybe some ladies could swing a vote to the Button Up Beauties pattern so Bitty can get dressed too! Happy sewing and thanks again to Pixie Faire and Ma Petite Cheri Couture!

Thank you, Cherie, for such a wide range of patterns. I’d love any of them as I crochet and knit as well as sew and have 18", Wellies, and Bitty Babies. I voted for the Button Up Beauties.

The Bitty baby outfits are sooo cute but alas I don’t have any in the family, I crochet but prefer larger projects, so the shoes might be my choice this week. I have AG 18 and Wellie in the family – maybe once every other month the 18 could be excluded to give the others a chance. I love the 18 and always choose it first but I know others would love the excitement I feel every Friday. Thanks for making my weeks!!! Voted for Bitty outfit to try to give others that feeling 🤞🏻

No doll can have enough shoes! My vote goes to the Anna shoes this week. Thanks, Cherie for the offer, and to Cinnamon and her team, for the site.
