Freebie Friday

Free Doll Clothes Pattern (December 28th, 2018) Help Us Decide!

Hi everyone,

On Friday (December 28th) we'll have a free pattern available from Joyce Goetz, the talented designer of the Pink Ladybug pattern brand. Help us decide which pattern should be free and be sure to come back on Friday to download your free copy!

More About Joyce In Her Own Words: "When I was a young girl, my mom would give me $1.04 and turn me loose in the local Dime Store. I would head straight for the fabric section. I learned quickly that this amount would buy four choices of fabric at ¼ yard each. An entire wardrobe for my dolls!  After 50 years of sewing ‘people’ clothes, my granddaughters introduced me to their American Girl dolls. It was so easy to get back into sewing doll clothes. Sewing for dolls is a dream. They never complain, and they have no opinion about style or color. They just smile and love everything I make for them.

I’ve recently discovered that I enjoy designing doll clothes, then turning my designs into patterns so others can make them. As I searched for an outlet for my patterns, I found Pixie Faire. What a great group of people to be involved with."

More About Each Pattern:

Butterfly Frock Designed To Fit 18" Dolls Such As American Girl®:   The Butterfly Frock is a simple, timeless dress. Although it has buttons up the front, there are no button holes to make. There are snaps hidden underneath the buttons. It's quick and easy to put together if you've ever made something with rick rack peeking out from the seams. If not, you can learn how while making this dress.

Petal Skirt Designed to Fit 18" Dolls Such As American Girl®:   This PDF sewing pattern, designed to fit 18" dolls such as the newer American Girl dolls, is a great pattern to use up your fabric scraps. All of the pieces are small. You can use many different colors and patterns, or just one. It is closed in the back with three small snaps

Dainty Ruffled Dress Designed To Fit 18 Inch Dolls Such as American Girl®:   It's a play dress, party dress, school dress, an any time dress for your doll. Fun and easy to make, you can buy new fabric or just use pieces from your scrap box. Dress it up or down depending on what lace and trim you want to use.

Belts For Boots Designed To Fit 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl®:   With this PDF pattern you can change the look of each pair of boots your doll has by adding boot belts, or jewelry for boots. There is no sewing. It's a lot like making jewelry. Experience is helpful but not necessary. All of the variations are shown using magnetic clasps for easy on and off, but there are also other clasps shown that you can use. There are also many different materials you can use in addition to the ones shown, like pieces of jewelry you don't need anymore, soft head bands and tiny pieces of leather or lace.

Can anyone help with info regarding Freebie Friday for 4 January 2018. Haven’t been able to find it either.

Bev

I haven’t seen anything on the Freebie Friday either. I’ve gotten several emails for the other stuff but no explanation for this. I’m baffled as well.

Are they changing Pixie Faire for this new year to not give away the free pattern on Fridays anymore. I haven’t seen any vote posting or an explaination. Does anyone know what’s going on?

CAROL

For the last 2-3 weeks I have not gotten my e-mail for Freebie Friday, not only that I have not been able to vote, the icon to vote doesn’t work. I tried to look at the new patterns to vote on tonight 1-3-2019 and there are none , what’s up ?
