Free Doll Clothes Pattern (December 29th , 2017) Help Us Decide

Hi everyone,

On Friday (December 29th, 2017) we are offering a free doll clothes pattern from Cherie Peden of Ma Petite Cherie Couture. Be sure to vote today and then come back and get your copy of the winning pattern on Friday.

More About Cherie: I have been sewing since I was about 4 years old. I learned to sew at my mothers knee. I learned to sew Barbie clothes not by hand but by machine. I remember when I was about 10 seeing an outfit that my Grandmother had made for her Barbie that she had done completely by hand and thinking why would anyone take that kind of time. I learned to crochet at age 7 again under my mothers watchful eye. I also learned to knit but as crochet builds faster knitting fell the way of hand sewing I do if needed. I am the wife to a software engineer and mother to 4 daughters that I home schooled for most of their elementary years. When I am not designing and writing doll clothes patterns I work as a teachers aide in a private school.

More About Each Pattern:

The Tumbling Scallops Crochet Pattern For 18" Dolls:  With this pattern you can crochet a square neck dress with cap sleeves and tumbling scallops on the skirt. The dress opens in the back with 3 buttons and chain button holes. It has the option of a tulle sash or crocheted belt and bow. Instructions for the separate tulle underskirt are also included.  This pattern will fit most 18 inch dolls such as American Girl®.

Spring Tulips Shrug Crochet Pattern for 18" Dolls: Does Dolly need a light summery cover-up? Spring tulips is the answer. This versatile shrug can be worn over a dressy outfit or used as a fancy swim suit cover-up. It features an inverted modified pineapple motif that resembles an upside down tulip.

Pineapple and Shells Skirt Crochet Pattern for 18" Dolls:  Beautiful shells turn into a pretty pineapple hem in this mid calf skirt. It can be worn either at the true waist or as a drop waisted skirt. For a beautiful soft skirt try a bamboo thread instead of the traditional cotton.

Also included in this PDF pattern is a bonus slip pattern that has been designed to be worn underneath the skirt. This pattern is designed to fit 18" dolls with a waist measurement up 10.5” and a hip measurement of 12”.

Ruby Dreams Dress for 18" Dolls:  The second in the Precious Stones line of dresses, Ruby Dreams is just that - a dreamy dress with a simple collar that serves as the sleeve, and ties in the back with a beautiful drape to the hem.  What girl would not love to wear this to her next party? This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18 inch dolls such as American Girl®.

Love the princess lines of the Ruby Dreams dress. I’ve not seen this pattern before. See many creative ideas to include for options.
Thanks, Sandy

All are adorable. Thank you for offering these. Don’t crochet – so Ruby Dreams – just so petty.

Red Ruby Dress is my choice. As I too, do not crochet nor knit. Just sewing is my choice. Crochet is pretty not good for little girls to play with, I have seen some sad dresses come to me , to see if I could repair.

The ruby red dress ,please I too do not crochet .

I voted for the tumbling scallops dress, but we love them all!
