I'm fairly certain I was the only 3rd grader in school making her own clothes! After raising 3 children, I was blessed with 6 grandchildren. Just love that Urban Twirl top/jumper. I’ve made so many variations, so many different lengths and it’s always WONDERFUL.
I’m looking forward to having as much fun with the handkerchief skirt. Imagine, if I used my late grandmother’s hankies…. or four different hand-dyed quilting cottons, or five different plaids of different sizes but in similar colourways. The ideas are ENDLESS. I hope the handkerchief skirt “wins” and then, I’ll be a winner, just like I was with the twirl urban top.

I have a soft red leather glove that I made a belt from. I’ve been wanting to find a pattern for a purse of some sort that I can make from some more of that glove. I think this would be perfect.
