More About Karen In Her Own Words:I've always loved dolls. My tenth birthday present from my mother was an honest-to-goodness sewing basket filled to the brim with supplies, and a Barbie pattern. I was in heaven! I sewed throughout my high school years, and then began again when my great nieces received American Girl dolls. My teenage sons were horrified that their mother was playing with dolls. During that time I also discovered Liberty Jane patterns. Wow--stylish, detailed patterns for dolls with fantastic instructions and a beautiful fit! Before I realized what was happening I was designing my own patterns. Partnering with PixieFaire as a seller and designer has been such a fun adventure! I'm grateful to those of you who have become customers and friends along the way. I wanted to add a vote to the DA pattern to let you know that I appreciate you designing for other dolls than the 18" size. Thanks much for the free pattern opportunity. I hate to sound ungrateful but have a small suggestion and I’m afraid that’s how it will come across. There is no point in putting non 18" patterns up against ones suitable for 18" dolls as they will never be selected as their following is much smaller. The choice of patterns for these dolls is smaller and also those who own them have far fewer options whereas those who sew for 18" dolls have downloaded an abundance of free patterns they may never get around to sewing but they will always vote for those ones and they will be chosen. It would be lovely for the patterns for other dolls to have a chance without being knocked out of the running by the ones for AG dolls. Or we could just buy them, I know. but once in a while it would be exciting to be able to get them on a Freebie Friday! Again, thanks, the offer of free patterns every Friday is beyond generous!!

Well, I’m in the minority here, but I say give the Animators some love! These dolls are completely unsupported by Disney – no extra clothes, no props, no playsets. Independent designers like Forever 18" are a godsend to people like me who love these dolls and love to sew for them but couldn’t design my way out of a paper bag. I have literally hundreds of 18" doll clothes patterns but so few for odd-sized dolls like the Animators. Thanks, Karen, for keeping us in mind. <3

Karen, i am so excited to have the nautical skirt for 18" dolls came up. I was just looking at the entire amount of pieces that tie in with this skirt last night, the collar, the blouse, and the long skirt and swim suit top as well as the two swim suits, is very encouraging to me, i want badly to have this entire set up, and so will now proceed forward.
