"I am happily married to my wonderful husband Richard and we are blessed with three beautiful daughters. My professional background is in children’s ministries, but I have enjoyed sewing for over 20 years.
Throughout the years I have sewn for local dance schools and theatres groups. With three daughters I have sewn my fair share little girls clothes.
In spring 2013 my love for sewing doll clothes began and in March 2014, I started designing patterns for 18” dolls such as American Girl® and Maplelea®. I enjoy designing and creating modern everyday clothing and shoes. I love keeping up with current fashion and recreating it."

I would love to try one of Marilyn’s patterns!
I love so many of your patterns! I think the thing I like best is that you have the same pattern in different doll sizes. Thank you for doing that! I sew for a variety of sizes among my nieces. It is really fun!
Love the all zipped up hoodie – so cute (wouldn’t mind one for myself lol)
I have made so many of your wonderful patterns that I can’t choose one favourite – so I am choosing to say that my favourite thing about them is that you design the same thing for different sized dolls, and my favourite doll to be sewing for has been for my 8" baby, after having loved that you catered for my Wellie Wisher. But Best of All – I really truly deeply appreciate that you have designed for the Maplelea dolls – yes, I am Canadian.
the dorel boots – have not gotten the courage to try them yet. My daughter celebrates pi day. Do you?
I’ve made the Springtime Fun Jacket for Wellie Wisher dolls and American Girl dolls. Love this pattern. It’s versatile and love the fact that it’s lined. Will make again!
Thank you for sharing your story. Love learning about the people behind the product. Well done!!

I love Marilyn’s patterns. They fit well and are so cute.
My favorite go to is the short kimono jacket which can be made casual or elegant; I’ve made numerous variations and find it very easy. Always good to find a patternmaker that I connect with.

I love the cute little overalls. My granddaughters would love a pair of these for their dolls!
Love the fringe moccasins.. wish you had them in other sizes.
Marilyn, I love your patterns. You have as much fun as creating them as I do making. Because I majored in clothing design, I design things and then check to see if you beat me to it…I just won’t re-invent the wheel when you do such a beautiful job. My favorite is a tough call but probably the “Oh My Gosh Overalls” So much fun!
Thank you
I would love to make a matching set of Dolphin Shorts and the Tie All shirt for 8", 14.5" and 18" dolls. I haven’t looked at your catalogue lately. I really like some of the newer patterns and I like the amount of 8" doll patterns that you have.

If my dolls didn’t already have a sofa they like I’d choose the sofa. I like the tie back romper for my Kids+Cats girl. It looks comfortable. The many shoes and boots are attractive especially the Expedition sandals because a kid could get them on and off without trouble but they would be unlikely to fall off spontaneously
