My favorite holiday tradition is decorating. All of the greenery, sparkle, and pops of red puts everyone in the Holiday spirit!!
One of my most meaningful traditions during this busiest time of year is to give even extra volunteer time for others. And my heart warmed even more when I spoke to my precious 10 year old granddaughter who lives out of state and when I asked her if she was having a great Christmas break from school, she excitedly told me her most fav was going to be helping serve the holiday meal at the Salvation Army today.
My favorite holiday tradition is making embroidered Christmas ornaments for each of my grandchildren, nieces and nephews and now great-nieces and nephews. It is so fun each year to have one of the kids play “honorary elf” and choose what shape ornament all the children will get to have. The smile on their little face when they see their choice with their name is priceless.
My favorite holiday tradition is our families traditional Christmas Eve dinner – Sweedish Meatballs, scalloped potatoes, ham, green beans, and a wide variety of pies. We also sing a beautiful Christmas carol that one of my aunts wrote and my mother arranged: Merry, Merry Christmas Bells Ring.
