My favorite family tradition is attending Christmas Eve services together. Now that the kids are grown and have families of their own – the hardest part of Christmas day is waiting till mid-afternoon for all to gather together, open gifts and enjoy a dinner with the family around the dining room table my parents purchased in 1958. The generations together in spirit as well as in the flesh.
My favorite holiday tradition is all the decorating and baking with the family
Best tradition was traveling to grandparents homes far away. Not much space but plenty of cousins, aunts and uncles you don’t see often. The tree ? with the bubble lights and tinsel. All our big eyes when we see a red suit going by the front door and hear ho ho ho!
GIVING TO OTHERS—
We choose a few tags on a “Giving Tree” and have so much fun buying gifts for the children—especially when they’ve asked for specific dolls, sewing or craft or model kits—this is one of our favorite holiday traditions!
I absolutely love seeing my nieces and nephews excitement while opening up their gifts.
