I’ve always sewn primarily for myself and other real size people, but now I sew for my home-based business making fashions for 18" dolls. When I sew with a deadline, like for craft shows or sales, I punch in the time, but I lose my joy; my best work comes from 3 hours a day sewing and 1 hour a day designing and cutting. Custom work is a lovely creative challenge!
I sew primarily as a hobby and to spend some time with my granddaughter we are learning together I spend about 5 hours a week making doll clothes with her
I sew for a few craft fairs and once in a while I do alterations on clothing. I used to make wedding dresses for a living and, now that I am older, I can’t do as much sewing. But the bug is bad and have to be creating something! Making doll clothes gives me that outlet. I love these patterns as I can see some creative uses for them.
I sew primarily for my home business. On average, I spend 40 hours a week in my sewing studio or working on the computer for my business.
