I currently sew for hobby but hope to expand to small business come retirement. I get only about 1 – 2 hours a week now.
I sew for a hobby about 8 hours a week. Seven granddaughters give me plenty of ideas of projects they need:-)
I sew, crochet, knit, embroider … primarily to keep myself sane and my mind active. Time-wise, it’s hard to come up with and average because there are weeks that I am at it constantly then there are weeks when I don’t have any time to do anything creative. I look for challenges or something unique to figure out like a mental exercise, which is why Thimbles & Acorns is one of the primary designers that I check out regularly. I’m also glad that there are knitting & crochet doll patterns showing up because they work up fast and are kind of a blast to see when done.
I sew and crochet as a hobby whenever I get the chance which hasn’t been more than a few hours a week as of late, but that is about to change.
I sew primarily as a hobby. On average, I spend 20 to 30 hours a week.
