A FAVORITE CULTURAL TRADITION I TAKE PART IN OR FIND INTERESTING IS: making the recipes I was taught to make by my grandmother. Our family is Bohemian and we all especially like Kolachys at holiday times. This year all the grandchildren have been working with me and learning about baking those and other of their Great great Grandmother’s recipes.
“A favourite cultural tradition I take part in or find interesting is… Making historical doll clothes. especially Scottish, I have made Mary queen of Scots. My grand children are starting highland dancing and these patterns would be great. I would ask that to add to this would be the Aboyne / flora Macdonald pattern as well as the Scottish country dancing pattern, white dress and tartan sash. that would just complete the Scottish cultural outfits.
I find Scandinavian Christmas traditions most interesting. I would like to see patterns for Scandinavian folk costumes.
