12 Days of Christmas - Day 12 American Girl Giveaway! (January 5, 2020)

Welcome to DAY 12 of our 12 Days of Christmas celebration!

For our 12th Day Of Christmas giveaway, we are GIVING AWAY the brand new American Girl 2021 Girl of the Year doll Kira Bailey™ to one lucky winner! The winner will receive the brand new 18-inch doll, in her original packaging, mailed to her directly from Pixie Faire! Read below to see all the details of what will be included (Note: if you already have Kira, and would like a gift card, we can accommodate that wish too!)

Who is Kira? Here's the description from the American Girl® website (images are also from the American Girl Website):

Kira is thrilled when she gets to spend a month at her aunt’s Bailey Wildlife Sanctuary in Australia helping care for koalas, wombats, and kangaroos. She’s always loved caring for animals, but it’s not all cuddles with cute joeys. When the baby wombats escape and there’s a predator on the loose, it’s up to Kira and her new friend Alexis to attempt a midnight rescue in the Australian bush!

  • The 18” Kira doll has green eyes and long, wavy blond hair that can be brushed and styled. It comes styled in a half-up twist with long loose curls.
  • A tie-dye tank top that ties in the front and has embroidered decoration on the shoulders
  • A green pleated skirt with buttons up the side
  • A pair of brown lace-up boots that are tough enough for bushwalking
  • A pair of purple socks
  • A purple wraparound bracelet
  • The Kira Down Under paperback book

We couldn't be more excited with the Australian theme for this new character! Many years ago we released the Liberty Jane Outback Libby colleciton of limited edition outfits and then later released as doll clothes sewing patterns. These designs feature the ruggedness of the Australian Outback mixed with the soft feminine Aussie fashion touch! Here's a peek at a few popular designs, we think they would be a perfect addition to Kira's darling collection!

Plus we have many other patterns that can be used to create the perfect pieces for her adventurous style! Here are a few popular ones:

But wait there's more!

Back in 2014 we launched our very own fiction books to bring our Outback Libby character to life! Follow the story of Libby and her friend Killara as they start a grand adventure in the heart of the Outback.

We have two kid-friendly stories available on Kindle - we'd love for you to check them out!

I would love to see more goth, punk or 70’s patterns with beads, trims or fringes for the 18 inch doll. Patterns with leather inserted into the design, rips on the T shirts, laces up the sides, or something else which is unique and upscale. I would also like to see more Downton Abby or 1920’s dress patterns. I would like a Koala doll sized pattern for the doll of the year. I love the patterns on Pixiefaire. And I love the Kira doll, she is my favorite.

I’d love to see more 70s and 80s sewing patterns for 18 inch AG dolls. I know there are already some great ones, but I’d love to see more. As a reference, Queen in the 70s is a big inspiration of mine. And yes, I know they changed styles as time progressed. Even within the same decade.

The wool coat was a wonderful class and I would enjoy more classes on the patterns we already have. I do realize that time goes on and more dolls come out all the time so whatever the majority would like would be fine. I want to thank you for all that you do and all the challenges that you face. Over the years I have come to realize know one knows what challenge someone is facing until you have walked in their shoes for a time.
