My favorite sewing tip or trick is to look & read the instructions several times before beginning any cutting of fabric so I understand what I have to do. I’m a visual learner & I better understand with those pictures.
My tips are to use very good, sharp scissors to cut the pattern out and to press seams as you go.
My favorite sewing trick is to use the round coffee filters under my fabric when I begin sewing, to keep it from getting caught in the feed dog I also use the filters under small pieces where it’s hard to hold on to the fabric. For example when I’m sewing long evening gloves made from performance fabric. I can move the filter around rather than trying to hold on to and move the tiny pattern pieces.
My favorite sewing tip is to make something you like to make, have plenty of bobbins filled and play golden oldies.
My favorite tip is to read through all the directions first, so I know exactly what I am doing and what I need.
