My favorite sewing trick is to use a crochet hook to pull string or small elastic through a casing.

My favorite sewing tip or trick is to read the pattern and gather all the supplies and notions before you start sewing. Nothing is more frustrating than to be almost finished with the project, just to realize you don’t have the right ribbon, buttons or other notions to finish it without going to the store.

My favorite sewing trick is to lick my fingers, or use a finger wetter for handling paper, when turning a join.

My favorite tip to keeps my pins in place is a magnetic tray that you can purchase at any store that sells automotive parts. They hold the pin in place and they come in two sizes – a small and a large one. I keep a large one by my machine and use a small one when I am pinning patterns.

My tip is to not be afraid to try new and difficult patterns, some projects go in the garbage, but I always learn a lot.
