My favorite sewing tip or trick is basting! I always baste first when using specialty or knit fabrics, that way if I make a mistake it doesn’t take the rest of the day to rip the stitches.
My favorite sewing tip is seeing how the seam ripper is supposed to be used. I’ve been doing it wrong for years and damaged some things because of it. Now I know better!
My favorite tip is buying clothing with detail from a thrift store, wash then use the patterns so I do not have to add special details. If the pants have a cute detail on the bottom…a top with pin tucking, takes some thought about the pattern, and pinning, but they turn out so cute and time saving… love the patterns.
My favorite sewing tip would be “when sewing quilt blocks together press the seems to one side rather than apart. This makes the seems less likely to come apart.”
