Many of you have large collections of dolls, or sew for someone who does! We'd love to know more about the time period or era your dolls live in. Are they historical, if so from which era? Are they modern girls, is so which style do they prefer (boho, rocker, sporty, etc)? We'd love to know! To enter today's giveaway - simply respond to this post and complete this sentence:

My favorite era of clothing is the 1960s. The was such a variety from the colorful, comfortable, expressive clothes of the hippies to the form fitting, impeccable style of the rest of the population
My daughter would like to outfit her dolls for Hamilton so the late 1700’s would be my clothing era of choice right now.

My favorite era of clothing is the mid-1800s. Love those big hooped skirts and all the frills and ribbons. I would love to see a pattern for all the different types of underclothing that went underneath all of that – the corset in particular!

I had a wonderful time experimenting with bell bottoms, lacy blouses and shoulder bags. Then I wandered to maxi dresses and ended up designing Renaissance Era dresses. I plan to drift back to the BOHO look, especially the maxi dresses and I would like to see some ideas for those. Also, would like to make sandals…Thanks for the chance to win

My favorite era of clothing and fashion is the 1920’s. After WW1 the women’s right movement had a strong influence on women’s fashion. Women’s role in society changed, and they entered the workforce. In doing so the clothing fashion needed to suit thier needs. The straight-line chemise and cloche hat, my favorite, was the dress of the day. Low waisted dresses with fullness at the hemline, which was one inch above the knee. The corset was discarded and the camisole and bloomers were in, which allowed more free movement for women to jazz dance.This to me was the start of great change and the fabulous appearance of freedom with clothing. I’d love to see a patttern for a soft flowing evening gown in this era.

My favorite area of vintage clothing is the 20’s to the 40’s. There is no real particular style that I’m most fond of, I have adult coloring books, and paper doll sets from these time periods for fashion. As one previous commenter stated, getting a flapper dress with the head bands would be an awesome pattern for the 18 inch dolls.

Most of my dolls are historical. I am a huge history buff. I have lived in the mountains of Colorado for most of my life. I would like to see some patterns for the old west and mountain women of the late 1800’s, Native American costumes from this time period and area would also be fun.

I remember seeing pictures of my mom and aunts in similar clothing and dressing up in them much later. They saved everything during the war years. I like eclectic dress with pieces from many eras used to express individuality.

My favorite Era of clothing will probably be the 50’s Love the school type dresses that the girls wore then. So detailed. But I find in selling the doll clothes that most girls like the modern era of clothes so probably more patterns for now.

At the risk of being a repeat my favorite era of clothing and fashion would be the 50’s and early 60’s when party dresses had a full skirt and tight waist and day attire was an ensemble. However, young girls today wanting to dress their dolls would probably like a pants ensemble like the one seen in White Christmas where the pantsuit is encircled by a circle skirt open in the front.
