Many of you have large collections of dolls, or sew for someone who does! We'd love to know more about the time period or era your dolls live in. Are they historical, if so from which era? Are they modern girls, is so which style do they prefer (boho, rocker, sporty, etc)? We'd love to know! To enter today's giveaway - simply respond to this post and complete this sentence:

I love little country girls (and boys). The ’Laura Ingalls Wilder" era is my favorite.
I like all eras but really I like poodle skirts so i think that is the 50’s. Love the doll with the long curly hair and brown eyes just like my little sweetie who is 4. She would love love this doll.
I do not have a favorite era. I just enjoy sewing unique clothes for my grands dolls. They like everything!

My favorite era is the 70’s. Love big plaid, flower power, bell bottoms, elephant baggies,platform shoes, etc.! Would love to see pattern for 70’s bell bottoms, halter tops, etc.
My favorite era is the 50’s, maybe because I was a little girl then and I think the school dresses were so clean and fresh. My second favorite is the times of damsels! Everybody loves a luxurious gown!

My favorite era of clothing is the 50’s era clothes. The dresses were really beautiful from that time frame. I like the pant suits with the matching scarves. I would like to see a more formal dress from that era. There are mostly play dresses available for that timeframe.

I love the Victorian era of fashion. So elegant. Would love to see a pattern for a long wool cape with hood. Fastened with frogs and fancy cording (forget the real name of it!)
I dont have a specific era for clothing i like to stick to. I like variety! I would love to see matching patterns for girls or join up with a pattern site and make a few matching sets together.

I’ve been making doll clothes forever! My daughter has one of Pleasant Company’s original Samantha dolls and her girls have several 18 inch dolls. I’ve made costumes, dresses pajamas, you name it! I collect what I make in shoeboxes ang the girls get doll clothes for Christmas. This year, I’m going to work on Victorian era clothes. All little girls should have something elegant for their dolls to wear. Oh! I have a new granddaughter due in April, so I’ll be making baby doll clothes, too!

As a Nana and a relatively new member of Pixie Faire I’m continually amazed at the patterns and information available. Right now my favourite era is the forties but that seems to change with each new pattern I see…LOL. I’m really enjoying bringing the smiles to my granddaughter’s face with each new sewing project!!!

I love ALL of your patterns! I do tend to lean to the 50’s era. My granddaughter is married now with her own baby but I’m still drawn to sewing for all of her American Girl dolls. My mom taught me to sew when I was 5 years old and I taught my granddaughter to sew when she was 5 years old.
I love making doll clothes! The dolls seem to like it too, ( very little fussing about make up, hair styles and hemlines.!

I have several time periods whose fashions I enjoy, but the antebellum era is one of my favorites. However, for the pattern I’d like to see, I’d have to say I’d especially like to see a set of patterns for ethnic dresses, such as Indian saris and kurtas, or Japanese kimonos.
My favorite era is most likely the 1940s-1950s. I would absolutely love to see some patterns based on the Betsy McCall paper dolls from the 50s. I would also love to see more clothing from this era sized for Wellie Wishers.

I was born in 1945. Some of these outfit details were still in my mom’s mind when she dressed my sisters and me. Thevoattern looks good to use for similar things for my Kit.
My favorite style of fashion (for me) is Mod late1960s Edwardian. I’d like a basic doll pattern that would encompass almost all eras. The pattern would include choices of waist line, style of sleeves and collars. I’d like one doll pattern that could make a medieval, modern or victorian fashion. I’d also like a pattern for underpants. No more bare doll bottoms.
I like to copy specific dresses of real people. When I was little my mum made me a replica dress for my doll of princess Dianna’s wedding dress, it was amazing!!
