I love this pattern and the jammies are sooooooo cute!
I make everything with a Viking Designer 1( I have 2 ) I love the dependability and stamina. My first machine is 17 years old and still going strong. They sew and embroider beautifully.
I use a Pfaff . I appreciate the quality of the the of the machine and the variety of stitch choices it offers.
Who won? I never find out where it’s posted? same with most of the other days. I know if it was me I would here from y’all, but I don’t ever know who to congratulate! Same with past contest for the last several years. – Maybe posting it in the banner or on the home page each day would work better? Just a thought…
I use a Pfaff sewing machine and the thing I like most is the built in walking foot. I wish all machines came with one.
I have a Pfaff sewing/embroidery machine and a Pfaff serger. I use both because they are easy to use and dependable.
I have an old Elna my husband bought me in the 60’s. No bells and whistles but solid as a rock. Wonder how many miles is on it. Always delivers.
I have a brother because my elna needs repaired. I just got a janome serger and I love it because it easy pretty easy to run and it makes really clean edges.
The thing I like most about my machine is that it runs so smooth! I forgot to say that on my original post!..
I use a husqvarna sewing machine and I love it! Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity!!!
I sew/embroider on a Babylock Ellisimo Gold. I love the needle threader, thread knot & cut, bright light,…. I began hand sewing 65 years ago, then when I was 7 I graduated to my mothers White treadle machine. I have the machine in my home today. I have begun to restore it with new belt, but needles are not easy to find. I would love to stitch a bit with it!
I use a Brother Project Runway machine. What I like most about it is all the different stitches it has. I used to have plain old machine with no fancy stitches n it broke n this was a gift from a dear friend. I don’t know how to use it very good yet n I am not sure when I will ever use all the fanciness but I am learning new things all the time. Would love to win this beautiful set, or learn how to make one
I am sewing everything by hand at this time as I cannot afford a sewing machine. I used to have my mother’s old Singer machine, but it finally broke down and I’ve not been able to fix it (right now it is sitting in it’s carry case in my closet).
I use a Singer Simple. The thing I like most about it is that I can use it like an overlock. Jerseys are easy to sew. And I can change the foot very quickly for patchwork and quilting.
I use a Janome 3050 and LOVE it. What I love most is how smooth it sews and the ease it is to switch stitches with just a push of a button.
I use a Quantum CXL Singer Sewing Machine. The thing I like best about this machine is that it’s lasted 25 years so far and is still working fine!
I use a Singer Quantum XL100. The thing I like most about it is there is several built in embroidery stitches and I have the added on embroidery attachment where I can do colored embroidery. I have sewed from light weight fabric to thin leather. It is old but still working.
I use a Janome sewing machine. The thing I like most about it is that it is the only machine I have and it was received as a gift. I am grateful I have a decent machine that does what I need, when I need. And that it is easy enough for the kids to use too.
I’ve always used Singer Sewing machines, but now also have a Brother and a Viking.
I sew with a Bernina artista 730, I love how beautiful it sews and I am so thankful to God for providing it for me!
I use an old Brother machine.
I use a 30 year old Kenmore sewing machine. I’m old fashioned and can’t see wasting a perfectly good machine. But if I could find a happy home for this one, I’d buy a newer, fancier model with all the beautiful stitches….
I sew on a vintage Elna, the stitches are perfect and can stitch the tiniest most perfect embroidery stitches for doll clothes.
I use a Viking emerald. The thing I like most about it is the selection of stitches and settings.
I use a Janome Threadbanger, I love not having to use the foot press!
I use a Pfaff sewing machine and I love it because it has a built in walking foot.
I use a Pfaff sewing machine that I bought 3 years ago. I also use a Pfaff serger to make my doll clothes. I love the quality and craftsmanship of the Pfaff products. They are very reliable and I can do a variety of stitches for doll clothes. I can sew through denim, leather, cottons, and lightweight fabrics with ease. Perfect for making all kinds of accessories and fashions for my dolls.
I use an old White zigzag machine from the 1960’s with decorative cams for fancier stitches. My father bought used for me in 1974. Although it is very heavy so I don’t use it’s “portable” feature, I love it because it has all-metal parts and sews for everything, a real “work horse” which has only been serviced twice in all these years.
Love this new doll that American Girl Doll came out with. The clothing patterns that Pixie Faire
have are just great the fit the doll perfect. Thanks for being such a great company
I use a Janome. I’ve only had it about 6 months do I’m still learning on it. It is versatile and easy to use.
There are several other posts dated for the 30th so I guess I may not have been the only one who did not receive the day 5 email.
I use Singer Patchwork. It’s very easy to use. Yesterday I received Day 6 email and realized I had never received the email for day 5.
Responding late because I never received the email on the 29th. Checked Facebook several times thoughout the day also.. Late at night checked once more and saw posting at 5:19 pm. Usually emails received between 1 & 2 am.
I use a Baby lock BLQC. It has many stitches and options. Great for quilting, embroidery, buttonholes, etc. I also use an Elna lock serger, for seam finishing.
I use a Janome 11000… The thing I like most about it is the fantastic way it stitches I can also embroider but what I really love is the way it stitches velcro onto my doll clothes
I use a Janome 325. The thing I like about it is its ease of use and its dependability.
I use Janome Memory Craft 6500P for all my regular sewing and its great for a few reasons but mostly the amount of work space is a dream. I also use a Jnaome Pro4DX Serger and well I have to admit I love it because I have to yell at it far less than other sergers I’ve used in the past. lol Just keepin it real folks!
I consider myself luck to be born into a sewing family. I’m not the most accomplished seamstress in my family but I probably am amongst the most daring! I love all the personalities that offer their designs through Pixie Faire. I love how various people offer different ways of thinking. I am grateful that Pixie Faire is here – I think it feeds a “healthy” addiction!
“I use a Pfaff quilt style sewing machine. It has a pressure thing that helps track material through properly and the machine itself has never given me any trouble. I also use a BabyLock Elanta serger that is so easy to thread. Gave away my old serger, because it was so complicated to thread, to a DCF worker who makes quilts for some of her clients. Figured it would come to good use. Thanks !
I have a circa 1964 Elna super. I also got a second one at a tag sale for $10! I like the non computer aspect. Stitching is very even. I also have a Viking SE. Depends on the project which one I use. Please consider sewing a Sewpowerful purse …or more in 2018. (Pixiefaire’s community project) The program supports young Zambian girls to stay in school. I’ve seen the joy and smiles that a purse brings to these young girls.
I use a Brother 2800D and a Brother 6200.… The thing I like most about it is I can sew on the 2800 and Have the 6200 embroidering on another project at the same time. It is also a good way to have a back up machine in case one of them messes up. One will do up to 6 X 10 embroidery hoop and the other goes up to a 7 X 11 hoop.
I use a Husqvarna Viking Emerald 118. The thing I like most about it is that it can sew through 4-6 layers of denim!
I use a Singer 2000 (cabinet style) normally, but right now it is out of service & I can’t find anyplace in Hemet to get it fixed so am using a small portable. The thing I like most about my singer is all the different types of stiches & how easy it is to dial them in. It also makes great button holes.

I use an Elna 5600. It’s awesome!
I use a Janome Overlocker (or serger) and a Janome 5200 for most other things – what I like most about them both is that , between the two of them, they are so versatile for tackling everything from heavy winter garments to dainty dolls’ clothes and Janome have so much support on their web sites as well as all the projects they post on their Sew4Home site, that I never run out of new projects to tackle and new ways of doing old things – been stitching for 60years + some.
I used to use a 1965 portable Singer. I loved it because it was so easy to operate. I broke a plastic gear hemming jeans. Now I have an even older 1960 Singer Rocket. It’s all metal. I haven’t really tried it out yet. Maybe I’m afraid to sew with it, because it’s complicated and doesn’t operate at all like my 65 Singer.
“I use a Bernina. The things I like most about it is it is well built and stitches beautifully.”
I use a Babylock Lyric. I adore it because it is so user friendly
I use a Janome, Baby Lock Serger, Brother Embroidery AND an old Singer for free arm sewing … The thing I like most about them is that each has a certain feature that I use when sewing – can’t live without any of them! But, I do really love my Janome – so easy to use and versatile!

I use a Brother and love its ease of use.
I use a singer sewing machine and i love it.
I’ve used my mom’s Bernina sewing machine (which is nice and sturdy, plus it has settings for different stitches) but so far I’ve only used a sewing machine for easy straight sewing like blankets/quilts. I’m excited to try the patterns I’ve downloaded here, but I’m intimidated by the sewing machine, especially on small/fine details, so I’m leaning towards hand sewing since it’s less overwhelming!
I use a Janome Memory Craft 5000 and I like how versatile it is – embroiders and sews and makes great buttonholes.
I use a Janome sewing machine. I love that it’s super easy to change stitches.
I use a Brother 9000. It’s just so simple to use, has enough fun stitches & most importantly is so easy to thread.
I use a Singer sewing machine. The thing I like most about it is the different decorative stitching line I can use.
I love my Viking sewing machine and serger. All the decorative stitches are fun.
I use my mother’s machine. ’Nuff said?
I use a Viking Emerald The thing I like most about it is so many stitches without having to find the right cam (my old machine was an older Singer).
I have 6 different machines but the one I like and use the most is my singer I got when I was 18. What I like best is how durable it is and the 1 step buttonholer.
I use a new Janome. I used my 1968 Kenmore until last year when I started quilting. The Kenmore has been so reliable I tried to buy another one. I found out that Janome built the machines that were sold as Kenmores for years!
My favorite machine is my Babylock Ellisimo Gold Embroidery machine which allows me to be as creative as possible, Next it would be my Babylock Evolution 8-thread serger which stitches everything quick and durable. For quilting, nothing beats my Singer Featherweight for accuracy and reliability. I have stitched with several brands in the 60 out of 71 years of my life and the above three machines have been my favorites. I have started teaching some of my grandchildren.to sew and embroidery work. I’m hoping they will enjoy all of it as much as I have in my life.
I use a Janome and the thing I like best is the up down needle button! I’m easy to please!
I use a Bernina. I got it because I had used my Mom’s and it was very simple to use.

“I use a Necchi… The thing I like most about it is how rugged and worry-free it is. It just keeps on working.
I have a brother. I love it because it is so easy to use.
I was using a Sears Kenmore that I bought in the late 60’s but it needs some refurbishing so now I’m using a basic Singer. I would love to have one that does embroidery, and a serge but really all the extras would slow me down. Lol. I learned on a trundle and THAT’S speed control. Progress.

I use a really old White machine. It weighs a ton and is in a cabinet. My uncle got it for me at an estate sale. It’s so quiet and it will sew through layers and layers of fabric with ease.
