Many of you have large collections of dolls, or sew for someone who does! We'd love to know more about the time period or era your dolls live in. Are they historical, if so from which era? Are they modern girls, is so which style do they prefer (boho, rocker, sporty, etc)? We'd love to know! To enter today's giveaway - simply respond to this post and complete this sentence:

My favorite era of clothing is historical, you don’t see very many pre-16th Century items of clothing. I would love to have Viking or Celtic outfits from that timeframe.

I love the clothes of the mid- to late-1800’s when my grandma was a child. When I make clothes from this era for an 18" doll, I look at the finished product and see Grandma as a young girl; so proud. I would like a pattern with full, long sleeves, full bodice, sashes tied behind the back, and pockets on a long, full skirt with a wide ruffle around the feet. I have a picture of Grandma wearing ‘this dress’, holding her Bible, and it so depicts the era. She was probably headed out walking to church.
My favorite era of clothing is the 50’s, and I would love to see a pattern for more 50’s era dresses.
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is the early 1900’s to mid 1900’s. I love sewing for that era but I find the mothers/girls in my area are only interested in what is trendy right now. I think Pixie Faire has all eras covered with patterns.
