Many of you have large collections of dolls, or sew for someone who does! We'd love to know more about the time period or era your dolls live in. Are they historical, if so from which era? Are they modern girls, is so which style do they prefer (boho, rocker, sporty, etc)? We'd love to know! To enter today's giveaway - simply respond to this post and complete this sentence:

I like sewing modern day clothing. I would feel really priveledged to be chosen the winner.
My favorite period would have to be early 1950s through early 1960s when people and children dressed up and always looked so stylish. Women always dressed up even to go to the market and wore hats. I can remember my sisters and me being clothed in pretty Polly Flinders dresses with crinolines and girls were required to wear dresses in school (which did not change until my sophomore year of high school). It seems to have been a time when life was good.
I enjoy historical clothing in general and have been looking for more styles from the 1880’s, something appropriate for a banker or merchant’s daughter, for a project at our local museum. I do like the 40’s as well and have been outfitting an 18" doll for my grandmother, who served as an Army nurse in WWII. It’s a great way to get her to talk about her young adult life as her current memories are not so sharp. Thank you for the fun contests and Merry Christmas!
My favorite era is the 1970’s era. I would love to see more flared pants and fun tops from that era. Thanks!
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is all of them. I love the evolution of clothing from one era to the next. I’d love to see a pattern for a nightgown and peignoir.
