I first heard about Pixie Faire (then it was Liberty Jane) from an internet search for AG doll clothes patterns. I knew of the commercial patterns but wanted to see if anyone had tried to make their own. And sooo glad I did!!! Amazing patterns and designers!

I first heard about Pixie Faire from Nordic Needle News. They had an interview with a woman who did needlework on patterns she found on your site. Having made matching smocked dresses for my daughter and her Kirsten doll in the late 80’s I was interested and checked you out. Now my oldest granddaughter has that same Kirsten doll and so the tradition continues.

I’m a bit of a newbie compared with most of the other commentors. I first heard about PixieFaire on etsy. I’ve had some patterns marked as favorites for quite a while. However, it wasn’t until last spring that I checked out the website and ordered a pattern. My girls have outgrown the dolls and I don’t have grandkids…..so I wasn’t really in the doll market….until I had a homework assignment for a History of Fashion class that I was taking at the community college. PixieFaire was perfect! I had so many choices and settled on doing all of the different layers of medieval clothing. It was a fun project and I’ve been hooked ever since!! I have gotten my (and my daughters’) dolls back out of storage and they are proudly displayed in the front room again. I have been sewing for them and changing their clothing for the different seasons. I got a Wellie to go with them and a Logan doll. (had to have a boy!) I have quite the collection of patterns already, too.(there are so many fun ones!) My kids tease me now that I’ve been so immersed in American Girl, lol! I want to start drafting my own patterns, too. :)

It’s been so long, I can’t really remember how I arrived at this wonderful website. I’m guessing it was from a link shared on one of the embroidery forums that I belong to. I brought it to the attention of my husband so that we could support the Sew Powerful organization. Keep up the good work! Oh, and I’m also a fan of freebie Fridays. Thanks for all the patterns and chances to win.

I work in the sewing machine dept. and every time I have a customer who has a grand-daughter I tell her about Pixie Faire. Recently I sold a machine for a Christmas present for an 8 year old girl. I told her mother all about Pixie Faire and how it was a great way to learn to sew using your dolls.

I first heard about Pixie Faire years ago when my girlfriend told me about it. She is an avid collector of doll patterns, she started with Kelly and Barbie dolls. When I told her my granddaughter wanted an 18 inch American girl doll and I had no idea what she was talking sbout my friend said no problem go to Pixie Faire. My granddaughter passed her doll to her younger sister who now has three American Girl dolls and I make clothes for her, charities and school auctions. Every Friday morning is like a lottery, the surprise to see what you are giving away, when you do the help pick, not big on that. Thank you Pixie Faire for this lovely fun site.
