Sewing for different size dolls has definitely become a passion of mine. It all started with my granddaughters needing clothes for their dolls and 12 years later, still going strong with the desire to create more. Spend all the free time I have making more and more outfits. The granddaughters and I certainly have a wide selection of doll clothes now. but there is a never ending desire to make more.

I sew, embroider, and craft as a hobby. When I retired I finally had time to do these things I love. I have 5. grandchildren that think I can make anything and make requests. I make most of the gifts we give throughout the year. If I am at home I am making something. I have had people ask if I sell things and I tell them I only make things out of love.

I sew mostly as a hobby, but have been sewing doll clothes that my relative is selling in their business. Some days I sew most of the day but I have to take a break to keep from having my shoulder cause me pain.

Most of my sewing these days is done to help others. I’ve made incubator covers for NICU units in hospitals, sewn (and knitted and crocheted) doll clothes to match dolls for the toy drive at a local Air Force base, quilted a cowboy quilt for our new church, and created wheelchair bags and Christmas stockings for veterans at our state veterans’ home. So, rather than spending a certain amount of time on sewing each day/week, I do it on an “as needed” basis.

I sew as a hobby, but have had an Etsy store in the past. I love to sew with my granddaughters because they enjoy it also. I sew about 2 – 4 hours/week right now, sometimes more!
