I’ve been sewing for over 60 years. When I retired, I started sewing clothes for my granddaughter’s AG doll, since they tend to be a little pricey. That somehow led to me selling them at local fairs and markets. Too much work, so now I sell on Etsy. My shop, All Dolled Up in Florida, keeps me pretty busy, working about 30-35 hrs per week. I use Pixie Faire for most of my patterns, and have several hundred of them!

I primarily make quilts for family and doll clothes for family children and charity. I usually don’t sell anything. After gifting, I normally don’t have anything left to sell .My time in my sewing room varies from week too week—can vary from 40 hours to 0 hours—nothing consistent.

I embroider and craft (vinyl and HTV) primarily as a hobby. On average, I spend a few hours a week during the summer. However during the winter, I will happily spend 3 or 4 hours a day making things. Mostly I make them for my granddaughters and friends. On occasion I will do a requested item for $.

I sew and quilt primarily as a hobby and to make items for my family. On average, I spend anywhere from 7 to 20 hours a week working on projects. I make doll clothes for my granddaughters, clothing, gifts such as placemats, fancy potholders, quilts, and this year of course, masks. I have made hundreds for family and friends and will keep on making seasonally themed ones for the grandkids especially, as they are required to wear them in school all day.

“I sew and crochet primarily as a hobby and for my grandchildren on average, I spend… 1-20 a week, depending on the time of year and my work schedule…” I do not have an Etsy shop, mostly sew and give away as gifts.
