I sew for fun. I spend about 10 hours a week making doll clothes and at least 20-30 reading about sewing doll clothes and looking at patterns. I joined SWC to learn the techniques I haven’t tried. Shoes and zippers are on the horizon… I am a little behind.

I sew as a hobby. It is relaxing for me from my stressful job. If I’m concentrating on a pattern then I’m not thinking about work. I’ve sewn since I was young. I’ve sewn my own clothes, furnishings, quilts and now doll clothes. I love making things for my grandchildren. I spend as many hours/day as I can sewing. I’ve not sold any doll clothes yet.

Rebecca

I sew as a hobby for gifts and charity and pattern testing. No sewing time lately, but usually I sew 1 – 18 hours a week.

Right now I love to crochet. I also love sewing. I have kind of burned out on knitting; I had done so much over the past 6 years. I plan to sew for the dolls I have bought and include the clothing in the box with the dolls when I donate them to charity. I always got a new doll with several outfits, and this is the way I plan to have it for these dolls.

I sew and quilt primarily as a hobby. On average, I spend 1-2 hours a week. I have to balance that with my full time job as a web designer. I just started making doll clothes for my 5 and 6 year old girls.
